Final thought for 2017

There are two quotes which struck me in 2017. Interestingly, they are not from any of the books I have read in this year. I couldn’t recall where I’ve read or heard them either. So, as usual, I did some research on Google and managed to find the source of the first quote.

It is by Oscar Wilde and it said, “The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.” It might have its own true intentions but I perceive it as—be cautious about the good ones, but equally, be forgiven to the wrongdoers.

I couldn’t find a concrete source on who said about the second quote. Perhaps I heard in a tv show or in some random tumblr post. My tiny little brain cannot memorise the second one fully, but this is how I remember. “We are very good lawyers for our own mistakes, but when it comes to the mistakes of others, we have become very good judges.” It told me one thing, not to judge quickly and blindly as well as not to be too defensive and admit when you’re wrong. And also, to take things slowly.

Happy new year to you all and may 2018 balance the good and bad in our life.
